Wheatsheaf Garage Ltd is located near Cockermouth, in the village of Brigham which is just off the A66 only 2 miles from Cockermouth and 4 miles from Workington. We specialise in MOT's, servicing and diagnostics for your vehicles. The main goal of Wheatsheaf Garage is to create a loyal and trusting client relationship by providing high levels of customer service and building a reputation of high quality work provided by our workers so that customers will return knowing they have recieved the best care for their vehicles.

Wheatsheaf Garage has operated since 1920 by the Allport family. We bought the garage in 1988 after selling our coach business to Cumberland Motor Services. We have been based in Brigham since 1946. In 2000 we expanded into an additional premises which more than doubled our floor space. We were one of the first garages in the UK to update our MOT facilities to an automated test lane. We now have 5 vehicle service bays as well as the MOT test lane.

Wheatsheaf Garage has been in business for over 20 years and has been providing professional motor services. We are also on the VSCC (vintage car clubs) list of MOT testing stations. There are also a small selection of cars for sale at the garage which can be viewed by clicking on the link above, all vehicles sold have 12 months MOT, tax and 3 months warranty.

Vehicles still under manufacturers warranty - we would like to make people aware that any vehicle still inside its warranty period is able to be serviced by ourselves without invalidating the warranty.  We have access to all service schedules fitting recommended parts and lubricants as well as being able to cancel the dashboard service indicator.  This is legislated for under the ‘block exemption scheme’.

We have 4 members of staff and between us we have more than 100 years experience.  All staff regularly attend training courses keeping us up to date with the latest technology.
